GCM
Corridor - Castle
Rock is currently working with Wisconsin and Indiana (and coordinating
with Illinois) to develop 511 deployment plans for the Gary/Chicago/Milwaukee
(GCM) corridor. The plans focus on sharing travel data among GCM member
states, and creating a uniform 511 experience for travelers and commuters
moving across state borders.
CARS-511
- Condition Acquisition and Reporting System for 511 Traveler Information
Services
CARS-511 is a voiceXML-based traveller information reporting system
that provides callers with real-time construction, accidents, road conditions
and delays via an easy-to-remember three-digit telephone number: “5-1-1”.
CARS-511 requires no additional data input because it uses information
directly from CARS.
