Traveler information is
our core business. In Europe, we developed multi-lingual systems,
crossing national borders seamlessly. State lines are easy by
comparison. Automation, inter-operability, minimum staffing and mass
market products are some of our keys to success. We have voice response
511, automated web page displays, pager systems, email, and radio
bulletins – and they all work together as an integrated system. You
could buy them all piecemeal at a price, but bought together we can make
them cost effective.

directly from CARS.
Info-FM: Low Power FM Radio
Partnership
Info-FM is a concept for self-sustaining LPFM stations funded by business
sponsorship. Castle Rock has worked with agencies in four states (Iowa,
Massachusetts, New Mexico and Vermont) to apply for networks of LPFM licenses,
and multiple stations are now being deployed.
Traveler Information Web Pages
The display of traveler information on the Internet is a concept that is
growing in popularity and usefulness. Castle Rock has worked with several
Departments of Transportation to develop an effective mechanism for
displaying traveler information on the Internet. Minnesota’s
http://www.511mn.org was
launched on July 1, 2002.
Acadia
National Park Interactive Voice Response (IVR) System
An Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system for real time traveler
information that is conveyed via telephony will be implemented in the Acadia
National Park. The IVR system will provide access to general information
about the park as well as real-time transit, traffic, and parking
information.
Branson TRIP
Castle Rock provided services to MoDOT to develop a partnership supporting the
dissemination of automated Travel and Recreation Information Program (TRIP)
information through kiosks, a web site, highway advisory radio and an IVR
system. Road conditions are processed for broadcast automatically from a central
condition database through periodic system updates.
